This year marks the 125th Anniversary of the Village Presbyterian Church which was founded in 1892. This is a pivotal time when we can look back and remember the incredible ways that God has blessed this congregation over the years, and look forward as we embrace a new vision and await a new Senior Pastor.
Originally known as Hope Union Church and located a block away from our present location, this congregation has always been committed to being a witness to Jesus Christ in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Through worship and Bible study; programs for children, youth, men and women; and service projects and missions in Northbrook, the Chicago area and around the world; the Village Church has touched the lives of thousands of people. It is our hope and prayer that this faith community will be a bright and vibrant light for at least another 125 years and touch even more lives!
Please join us on Sunday, November 19, when we will come together to give God thanks and celebrate 125 years of God’s blessing and activity here in Northbrook. After a combined service at 10:00 am, we will gather in Westminster Hall for lunch and a program. One of the highlights will be a video presentation featuring historic images that will take us through the various chapters of our church’s history and point us toward the future.
